Engineer – Material Handling Equipment |
Sukup Manufacturing Co is seeking an Engineer for Material Handling Equipment including drag-enmasse conveyors, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, and distributors at our Sheffield, Iowa manufacturing facility. Sukup Manufacturing Co is a family-owned company founded in 1963, manufacturing a full-line of grain handling equipment including farm and commercial grain bins and portable dryers with sales throughout the world.
An Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Experience in the industry is required. Must be able to use Solidworks CAD program. Candidate must be capable of working in a group environment and must possess problem-solving and decision-making skills. Other duties assigned as needed by management.
Candidate must be detail-oriented and have good communication skills, sound trouble-shooting techniques and the ability to contribute in a team environment.

Electronics Technician |
Sukup Manufacturing Co is seeking an Electronics Technician at our Sheffield, Iowa manufacturing facility. An AAS degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent experience is required. A farming background is helpful. Candidate must be detail-oriented and have good communication skills, sound trouble-shooting techniques, and the ability to multi-task. This is a full-time position that may require overtime. The selected applicant would be primarily involved in the service and operation of portable grain dryers and tower dryers. The dryers use a microprocessor-based control system with a PLC controller, motor control systems with voltages up to 480 VAC single and three phase, as well as numerous sensing devices including temperature sensing (thermocouple and RTD’s), proximity sensors (inductive and capacitive), etc.
Duties include:
Trouble-shooting assistance to customers via phone
Trouble-shooting of gas and LP pipe trains.
Board repair of the component level.
Wiring of power and control panels.
During the harvest season, (August-November) on-the-road service would be required with some overnight travel and occasional weekends. Sukup Manufacturing Co will provide training in dryer service and operation. Other duties as needed by management.
