SHEFFIELD, Iowa – Launched by manufacturing the components of a 200-x-510-foot pre-engineered steel building at its Sheffield, Iowa headquarters, Sukup Steel Buildings are the latest addition to Sukup Manufacturing Co.’s product line. The clear-span constructed buildings range in size from a 2,000-square-foot agricultural building to a 100,000+ square-foot manufacturing building.

Sukup’s sturdy, rigid frame structure allows plenty of open area to house machinery; and buildings are adaptable to customer needs, offering numerous options for a shop, machine shed, or industrial building. 

Sukup buildings feature: 

• Clear-span for large open areas.
• Minimum number of interior columns.
• Pre-punched purlins and girts ensure a proper fit and speed installation, which lowers construction costs.
• Purlins and girts are galvanized for long life.
•  Numerous exterior and trim colors to choose from.
• Welded clips on primary structural.

Additionally, the Sukup Steel Buildings Division has been certified by the International Accreditation Service for meeting rigorous quality standards of the AC472 metal buildings design and manufacturing accreditation program.

The certification, which was awarded in late June following a three-day audit, verifies that the company has the personnel, organization, procedures and equipment to consistently produce high-quality pre-engineered steel buildings.
